The leather drnyig out would be the only issue. Cracked and rotted skins will not protect you anymore than a Polo shirt.I'm not saying they're bad, but after being in a closet (with or without bag) they should be checked out by a leather smith or someone who deals and works with leather.Good luck.T
Five Years is still new for Dainese products. I just sold a four year old set of Dainese leteahrs on Ebay and with the leather cleaner they give you, they still looked as good as the day I purchased them. 450 dollars seems like a lot for a two-piece set. I wouldn't pay over 250 dollars. Good Luck!!
